Building a pro-life cultural movement that will shape the future of Quebec

We at Quebec Life Coalition are building a pro-life cultural movement that will shape the future of Quebec, just as similar efforts in other places have borne fruit over time. In regions where pro-lifers, Christians, and people of goodwill have steadily built up their influence, we now see momentum shifting—proof that cultural transformation is possible. Quebec is not there yet, but if we persevere, we may one day witness the same breakthrough.

One example of this movement gaining traction is the ongoing "ARC conference" organized by Jordan Peterson and others, where our colleague Arpad Nagy is currently networking (read all about it, here).

Another example is the Trump administration which, despite its flaws (the issue of IVF being one of them), is making significant strides in defending life and Christian values. A powerful example was Senator J.D. Vance’s speech at the Munich Security Conference, where he boldly called out European elites for their suppression of pro-life voices. His words resonated deeply, as we in Quebec face similar persecution:

Governments that push woke, pro-LGBT, and pro-abortion policies—whether in Europe or here in Quebec—are starting to feel the heat. And we at Quebec Life Coalition intend to turn up the heat even more.

Quebec March for Life: A Cultural Movement

One of the ways in which we will be turning up the heat in Quebec is with our second annual March for Life. This March is much more than a demonstration—it is a catalyst for a parallel society that could one day replace the culture of death and restore a Christian, pro-life government with a true mandate from the people.

Last year’s first-ever Quebec March for Life (June 1, 2024) was historic. Despite radical secularism, 1,000 to 1,500 people took to the streets of Quebec City to affirm life. The impact was immediate:

  • Quebec’s state media produced a full-length documentary featuring the March and our pro-life arguments.
  • The provincial government explicitly mentioned the March in an official pro-abortion report, showing that they recognize us as a real threat to their anti-life agenda.

This year, we expand the movement:

  • We are adding a Pro-Life Banquet ("Rose Dinner"), where we will honor Robert Reynolds, a lawyer who has defended Christian freedoms in Quebec for over 50 years.
  • In the coming years, we plan to host youth conferences and leadership summits—laying the groundwork for a Christian and pro-life future.

A Lost Quebec—But Not Forever

Had Quebec maintained its 1950 birth rate, Quebec's population today would be 20 million strong—a demographic powerhouse, self-sufficient and resilient. Instead, abortion and contraception have weakened Quebec, leaving it vulnerable, scapegoating outsiders like Trump to cope with its own decline.

Adding to this tragedy, it looks like Quebec recently passed the one million abortion mark—a grim milestone, not of celebration, but of deep mourning. This is the price of rejecting life.

Yet, we who stand for life must lead the way out. We are the ones who will restore Quebec’s strength, faith, and identity. I invite all of you—our faithful supporters—to join us in this mission of making Quebec Christian and pro-life again.

Join us at the Quebec March for Life on May 31, 2025, join us at our other events and actions (see below) and stand for a culture of life.

God bless,

This Week's News and Info:

Arpad at ARC
This week, I am taking part in the ARC conference here in London, England. ARC, or, Alliance for Responsible Citizenship, is a movement that was created in large part because of the struggles of Jordan Peterson here in Canada. This movement has as a goal to create a new vision for humanity, one that is different than that imposed on us at the moment ... This event has brought together over 4000 individuals from almost 100 countries. The topics of the talks address all aspects of life. Even though there have not yet been a talk to specifically address the reality of abortion in the world, some of the speakers and presenters have clearly laid down a pro-life vision for our society.

Quebec Is a Victim Not of Trump, but of Its Own Choices
If Quebec had maintained its birthrate from the 1950s, its current population would be nearing 20 million people. In other words, the demographic strength that once gave it weight and autonomy would today serve as a natural shield against any economic or political blackmail, whether from Ottawa or Washington. But that is not the case. Why? Because Quebecers themselves have sabotaged their future by succumbing to the illusions of hedonism and materialism.

Quebec would have 20 million inhabitants today if it had maintained its fertility rate of the 1950s
Without the drop in the fertility rate since the 1960s, Quebec's population would be more than double its current size. The decline in the birth rate since the Quiet Revolution has therefore had a major impact on the province's demographic growth.

Has Quebec passed the million-abortion mark since 1970?
In 1969, abortion was decriminalised in Canada and, that same year, Henry Morgentaler opened an abortion clinic in Montreal, marking the beginning of a barbaric and murderous era in Quebec. Since then, the number of abortions has risen significantly. According to available data, nearly a million abortions have been performed in Quebec over the years!
