Yesterday afternoon, in some 30 places across Quebec, ordinary people stood on the sidewalk for one hour, holding a sign and praying in silence for children killed by abortion.

Lévis, at the corner of Président-Kennedy and Guillaume-Couture.
In Drummondville, participants ranged in age from 10 to 80. In Montreal's Saint-Michel district, ten people held the corner of Saint-Michel and Crémazie: a few drivers made rude gestures, and others stopped to thank them. In Lachute, the organizers wrote to say it was "a successful Life Chain." In Quebec City, a pro-choice counter-protest set up nearby with loud music and slogans. Our people stayed silent.
Drummondville, rue Lindsay.
Thousands of drivers went past. For many of them, it was the only moment this year when they saw someone say publicly that the unborn child is one of us. Among them, perhaps, was a pregnant woman who felt alone, or someone carrying the weight of a past abortion.
To everyone who stood on a corner yesterday, and to everyone who prayed for this day from home: thank you.

Lachute.
Our fall campaign: $981 from the goal
When I launched our fall campaign, I set an ambitious goal: $25,000. I'm happy to report that we have reached $24,019.
If you are among those who gave, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
Your gifts carried this fall's work:
- the signs, maps and mailings behind Life Chain;
- our election tool and voter guide (more on that below);
- our helpline, Enceinte et Inquiète (Pregnant and Worried), which has helped about 100 people a year since 2012.
Because we are so close, I've decided to keep our donation page open until the end of this week.
I know some of you meant to give and couldn't before the campaign closed. Maybe you were travelling, caring for grandchildren, or only opened my email afterwards.
Will you help us close the last $981 with a gift of $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can spare ?

Lévis.
Today, Quebec votes
This fall, we published an election guide showing where the parties stand on life, family, faith and freedom. We also built a tool that lets any voter put our questions to every candidate in their riding. More than 320 people used it, and over 1,250 letters reached candidates in 109 of Quebec's 125 ridings.
Now the decision belongs to the voters, and, ultimately, to God.
Wherever you live, in Quebec or elsewhere, please pray today that the outcome of this election be according to God's will.
For Life,

Georges Buscemi
President, Quebec Life Coalition (Campagne Québec-Vie)
