Whether you read this from inside or outside Quebec, the current Quebec provincial election should matter to any Canadian.

We've said it many times: what happens in Quebec rarely stays in Quebec, but spreads throughout the nation — for good or for ill. And unfortunately, for the last few decades, it's been for ill.

Whether it's Quebec-born Pierre Elliott Trudeau legalizing abortion in 1969, or his son Justin forcing Liberal Party MPs to toe the pro-abortion, pro-LGBT line, whether it's euthanasia being enacted in Quebec first, on December 10, 2015, or Morgentaler opening his "clinics" (abortion facilities) in Montreal before anyone else in Canada, the culture in Quebec has been toxic to the rest of Canada for too long.

And we at Quebec Life Coalition (QLC) aim to change this, once and for all. Quebec can and will be a force for good in this country, with your help.

We are one week into our fall 2026 fundraiser. These fundraisers are essential to our ongoing work defending faith, family and life, from conception to natural death. Our objective for this campaign is a challenging $25,000. But we know our readers understand the stakes and can rise to this challenge. So far, we've received about $2,140. That's not quite 10% of our goal.

The Quebec election is in its final stretch. The vote is set for October 5.

In the last few days, we've seen repeated attacks against the upstart Conservative Party of Quebec (standing at roughly 15% in the polls, set to win a handful of seats) for having candidates who stand outside the mainstream media-driven consensus.

One candidate, Dominique Dumas, suggested Quebec should have a debate on abortion. For the mainstream media, this was heresy.

Another candidate, Éric Lanthier, dared to write, a few years ago, an article for our website entitled "My body, my choice is not a rational argument." For this, he was pressured into stepping down as a candidate, not wanting to drag the whole party down over this artificially inflated "controversy."

The newspaper is in French, so I'll translate: on the left, the page shows all the "awful" things said by the "homophobic" and anti-abortion candidates; on the right, the op-ed states: "Duhaime [leader of the Conservative Party of Quebec] must answer for these troubling statements."

The message delivered by the mainstream media in Quebec: "If you harbour pro-life, pro-family and pro-God candidates in your party, we will hunt you down and expose you to a media-driven inquisition, so be careful!"

We at QLC are well aware of the complicity of the mainstream media in maintaining the pro-abortion, pro-LGBT status quo in Quebec and the rest of Canada.

This is why we work at the grassroots level to educate citizens about the issues, so that they are immunized against the fear-viruses transmitted by the media.

We also give people tools: our election guide, and our election candidate questionnaire tool, which has so far been used by over 300 people, delivering over 1,130 emails to candidates all over the province and covering 105 of 127 ridings.
