We are continuing today our Spring fundraising campaign – with a little over 1 week left, we’ve so far collected $11,822 of our $20,000 goal. Thanks for reading on to understand why your donation is crucial to changing the culture in Quebec, Canada, and the rest of the world. Donate today.
We at Quebec Life Coalition just returned from the United Nations in New York—where the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) wrapped up this week.
I want to tell you something frankly: sending our delegates wasn’t a “nice-to-have.”
It was necessary.
This year, QLC made the deliberate decision to send two women delegates from Quebec to CSW—joining a wider Campaign Life Coalition pro-life delegation (about ten in total).

And one of our delegates — whom I will identify simply as DS, since in today’s Quebec the public defence of the right to life can carry real professional risks — returned home and wrote you a letter that I believe you should read.
DS described her week at the UN as a true before and after moment—an experience that changed how she sees politics, human dignity, and the direction of our culture.
Here is the point DS drove home, and it’s the point I’m asking you to act on today:
What gets debated at the UN does not stay at the UN.
The language tested there becomes the language repeated everywhere.
And the “new normal” eventually arrives at our doorstep—here in Quebec and in the rest of Canada.
DS put it in a phrase that belongs on our wall:
“Presence matters. Formation matters. Representation matters.”
That’s the heart of this email.
Because at CSW, we saw exactly why presence matters.
QLC works day in, day out, to end abortion in Quebec and around the world, bringing forth a society that defends faith, family and life, from conception to natural death. Please consider giving today >>.
DS sat through sessions where the focus was not honest debate, but duplicitous storytelling—how to shape narratives, how to adapt language, how to push ideas without triggering opposition. She also saw what happens when you don’t fit the approved script: questions get blocked, time disappears, and sometimes they try to move you out of the way.
And yet—this is what encouraged me most—DS also saw something else:
When a calm, prepared pro-life voice is actually present, it disrupts the script.
In one session, DS recorded a line that sums up the mentality we were up against:
“It’s all about men and patriarchal institutions.”
That kind of caricature is exactly why pro-lifers need to be represented—by people who can speak about women, children, family, and justice.
And that is what our delegates did.
They built relationships. They made contacts. They asked the questions others don’t ask. They brought pro-lifers into rooms where the truth about life is usually invisible. And our pro-life allies—people who work the UN “trenches” year after year—were genuinely encouraged to see pro-life Quebec finally represented.
This is why giving matters.
Not because QLC “likes” international conferences.
But because this is where the terms are negotiated that later shape our laws, our institutions, and even how society defines what a human being is!
DS said it plainly in her letter: this work is strategic, educational, and mission-driven. It forms advocates who come home stronger—and it helps us anticipate the next wave before it crashes into Canada.
Now the question becomes:
Will Quebec pro-lifers be present next year?
We can’t do this on good intentions alone.
Sending delegates to CSW requires real funding—travel, lodging, accreditation, training, materials, and the capacity to take what was learned and translate it into wisdom and action back home.
So I’m asking you:
Will you make a gift today to fund QLC's front-line presence at the UN?
If you’ve ever wondered, “Why give? Why now? Why bother?”—this is the answer:
Because if we don’t show up, our opponents do.
Because if we don’t speak, they define the terms.
Because when pro-life Quebecers are absent, Quebec is assumed to be "fully pro-abortion".
And because your gift is what turns pro-life convinction into pro-life presence.
Thank you for standing with QLC—especially when the work is difficult, unpopular, and absolutely necessary.
