The Legault government claims to preserve Quebec's uniqueness with its constitutional project, which includes “freedom to abort” among its founding principles. However, it is difficult to see how abortion can serve this interest. From a pragmatic point of view, it is inconceivable to make the freedom to eliminate one's offspring a guiding principle of society when the fertility rate is 1.33 children per woman... From a moral point of view, in addition to the obvious harm that abortion does to the common good, this practice is a grave injustice to the unborn child.
Constitutionalize secularism? Enshroud euthanasia in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms? Omit our Christian heritage? Quebec does not need these whims, quite the contrary!
We issued a call to action and are pleased to see that 446 of our subscribers responded and contacted their representatives about the constitution. If you haven't done so yet, we urge you to share your opinion with your provincial representative on these important aspects of the constitution using our communication tool (this is only possible if you are a resident of Quebec, but if you live outside Quebec, you can share the link with friends and family in Quebec).

A good news, despite the deficit it announces, the budget tabled by the Carney government at least does not include recommendations 429 and 430 from the Finance Committee, which called for the withdrawal of charitable status from religious and pro-life organizations. These unpopular recommendations, which would have resulted in the closure of most religious organizations and pro-life organizations such as pregnancy help centers, were met with widespread outrage across Canada, leading the government to reject them. When enough voices are raised, they have an undeniable impact on government decisions. This shows the importance of working together to combat such evils. Our efforts are bearing fruit!
That is why we invite you to contact your representative using the tool we provide here, in order to defeat the constitutionalization of abortion in Quebec.
We also invite you (and thank you if you have already signed) to sign our petition against the inclusion of abortion and secularism in the Quebec constitution and to participate in the public consultation launched by the government on its draft constitution.
At Quebec Life Coalition, we believe that Quebec must protect life from conception to natural death, support the family according to the natural order, and return to its Christian roots.
To achieve these goals, we advocate through events such as the March for Life, through calls for political action such as the present call to action, through publications such as our website cqv.qc.ca and our Facebook page, and through emails such as the one you are currently reading.
With our warmest thanks for your commitment,
For Life,
Augustin Hamilton,
News website manager
Conferences tour
Quebec Life Coalition is launching a project to establish local groups (parishes, churches, student groups, etc.) of Quebec, to root a living commitment to faith, family and life. Several communities have already been visited recently, and these groups serve as a springboard for various initiatives: mobilization for the March for Life, prayer vigils, training in apologetics, support for pregnant women in distress, etc. Invite us to come and talk about it in your community: [email protected] ou 1-855-996-2686.
Say "no" to secularism: Quebec Prays and Canada Prays
Every Wednesday at 6 pm, Christians across Quebec are invited to gather in groups throughout the province to pray the Rosary publicly. We will not be driven from the public square like lepers!
To find a prayer group near you (they exist worldwide, including in English Canada), visit: https://public-rosary.org/
There are also Telegram groups: for Canada https://t.me/CanadaPrays, and for Quebec https://t.me/lequebecprie.
Vigil 365
The Vigil 365 is a prayer vigil where, every day for one or two hours, pro-lifers pray in a public place at a certain distance from an abortuary for the end of abortion.
