Today marks the start of our year-end fundraising campaign, and we need your support more than ever. With the ongoing Canada Post strike, our ability to receive donations through the mail is compromised, and we have urgent work ahead. Please give today.
Last week, Quebec Life Coalition was in court at the Superior Court of Quebec, challenging the 50-meter buffer zone law that has silenced pro-life voices since 2016. This law prevents us from offering support and life-saving advice to pregnant women in distress near abortion facilities.
As I shared in my recent report and interview on Théovox, we faced a team of government lawyers—at least five of them—who were fully mobilized to defend this unjust law. On our side stood one faithful and courageous advocate, Mr. Robert Reynolds, a lawyer with over 50 years of experience defending pro-life, pro-family, and pro-God causes.
The decision now lies in the hands of the judge, and we expect a ruling in the coming weeks. But this experience has taught us two critical lessons:
-
We must expose the truth about abortion.
Abortion is not healthcare. It’s not about healing—it’s about ending a life. Doctors may be involved, but that doesn’t make it a medical procedure. We need to drive this message home until it’s fully understood and accepted by the public and policymakers alike. Only then can we make real progress in changing laws and minds.
-
Our efforts make an impact.
Despite our limited resources, we are making waves. We are watched, scrutinized, and, yes, even feared by our adversaries. Like David’s smooth stone against Goliath, our truth is small but powerful, and it has the potential to topple the towering lies of the abortion lobby.
Now is the time to act. Following the overturning of Roe v. Wade in the U.S. and the election of Donald Trump, corrupted elites across the Western world, including Quebec, are in a state of frenzy. On Monday, Minister Martine Biron unveiled a 28-point “action plan” to reinforce what she calls the “right” to abortion. This plan includes expanded telehealth services to make abortion pills widely available across the province—even in remote areas.
Let’s not forget: 25,000 abortions happen annually in Quebec alone, and 100,000 across Canada. Yet the government acts as if abortion isn’t accessible enough!
We need your help to fight back.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 by December 18 to:
- Push back against the minister’s pro-abortion plan with education and outreach campaigns to reach Quebecers.
- Develop new initiatives to share the truth about the unborn child and the devastating impact of abortion on women and society.
We can’t do this without you. Please make a special, sacrificial gift today to help us overcome the challenges posed by the postal strike and keep standing for life in the face of government propaganda.
Thank you for your generosity and commitment to the cause of life.
For Life,
Georges Buscemi
President, Quebec Life Coalition
News from the Vigil 365
"As we prayed, Caterina and I were interrupted by a loud and angry middle-aged woman. We first noticed her standing on the curb taking a picture of us with her mobile phone. Dear reader, be aware that there is a certain notoriety to being on the sidewalks of Montreal defending life. Before continuing on her way, this woman made a few comments about how inappropriate it was to pray for an end to abortion in front of a university"... (read more)
