I have a preliminary update for you on our mission to the United Nations.
Our contingent of pro-lifers at the UN
Our team was on the ground at the 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) for a whole week, doing everything we could to speak up for the rights of preborn children and present a different perspective on women and family. I attended over 20 events during the week, a few good, many bad, and many ugly!
Silenced, Watched, and Followed – Just for Being Pro-Life
I knew we were entering hostile territory, but I didn’t think they’d try to censor us in such a bold and disrespectful way. Members of our delegation were barred from access to some events, kicked out of other events, cursed at, talked down on, cut off when asking questions, watched, filmed and even followed around the UN premises! Even my simple presence at an event last night was enough to be asked to leave the event! Why do you think this is? I said nothing until they asked me something, I was sitting quietly, taking notes, listening, always calm and respectful.

The UN: An "Echo Chamber" That Silences Dissent
Part of the answer lies in something I heard on the first day. On Monday, I attended a panel discussion hosted by Scandinavian countries. The moderator clearly said that, “here at the United Nations, we are living in an echo chamber, and that we need to find occasions to engage the people who think differently.” This was a great sentiment, but during my week at CSW, it is the exact opposite that I saw.
Anyone that raises a question that doesn’t fit their narrative must be silenced! Anyone that does approve of their core values cannot have a seat at the table.
Anyone who disagreed with the narrative that supports SRHR (sexual and reproductive health and rights), CSE (comprehensive sexual education), abortion, LGBTQIA2S+, and radical feminism in any form is not to be welcome at CSW.

They Are Losing Billions in Funding – And They’re Angry
Another part of the answer to why they were so hostile to us—they just lost billions of dollars in US funding—billions that was used to promote SRHR and CSE around the world. They are afraid and unsure how to keep advancing their radical pro-abort agenda to all parts of the globe with these important funding cuts. And our mere presence was rubbing that in. They often repeated how well the anti-rights movement is funded compared to them (ROFL!!!). They think we must be making billions too! Little do they know how much we can accomplish on so little…
Pro-Lifers Had a Huge Impact at CSW!
Annick and I, along with our partners at Campaign Life Coalition did a wonderful job working tirelessly on little sleep, rushing from event to event, formulating great questions, talking to other delegates, and networking with other like-minded delegates. Like never before, pro-lifers at CSW had a huge impact. Thousands of delegates from around the world saw us and heard us. Many of them have never heard of the reality of abortion, the beauty of motherhood and the dangers of SRHR and CSE to women and children.
Not every delegate at CSW adheres to radical ideologies some (or perhaps many) of them are reasonable, thoughtful and genuine individuals who have great compassion for women and for all vulnerable people worldwide. It must have been refreshing for many of them to hear an alternate worldview on womanhood. To this effect, the series of pro-life and pro-family side events (including our event on bubble zones) was very popular and very liked.

Our Presence at the UN is Critical – But It Comes at a Cost
Sending a delegation of pro-life advocates was invaluable, but it came at a significant cost.
Our vital presence at the United Nations is shifting the conversation and bringing pro-life, pro-family voices to the table. I am very happy with what we accomplished, and I invite you to be part of it.
Your generous donation today will help finish funding our mission to the United Nations as well as help with our ongoing work in Quebec.
Your contribution will go a long way to protecting pre-born children here in Quebec, in Canada, but also in the whole world.
For life,
Arpad Nagy
P.S. Without generous donors like you, our presence at the UN—and our ongoing fight for life in Quebec and beyond—would not be possible. Please consider making a donation today to help us continue this vital mission.
