There is one place on Earth that may be even more hostile than Canada to the pro-life and pro-family movement—and in 24 hours, I’ll be on my way there!

Tomorrow, at this time, along with Annick, one of our QLC volunteers, I will be travelling to the United Nations headquarters in New York. For the first time in many years, Quebec Life Coalition will be sending a delegation to the United Nations. We will be joining 8 other passionate pro-lifers from Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador.

From March 9th to March 15th, we will be participating in the 69th Commission on the Status of Women, where more than 5000 people gather, many of whom are zealous feminists who attend to discuss how to further advance pro-abortion and anti-family narratives on the international scene. This year is of particular importance, because 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the United Nation’s Beijing Declaration, and we expect a strong push to enshrine abortion rights on the international stage.

If you have not heard of it, the Beijing Declaration is a document adopted unanimously in 1995 by 189 countries at the United Nations. It is a document focused on "reproductive rights", and ensuring access to abortion and ‘reproductive health services’ to women around the world. Based on this declaration, for the past 30 years, the UN has been hard at work to make abortion as accessible as possible in every nation on this planet.

Our mission: to stand firm in the fight for life and family at the 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York City. More specifically:

• We will be a Canadian pro-life voice to counter Justin Trudeau’s delegation at the UN (I heard that Canada usually sends a hundred or so feminist delegates to propagate Trudeau’s pro-abort and anti-family agenda worldwide),
• We will reinforce pro-life countries who have very few allies at the UN,
• We will question the pro-abortion narrative at every opportunity we get.
• We will observe, report, and raise warning flags on what is pushed forward by delegate states and NGO’s,
• We will assist our Canadian pro-life colleagues in organizing a pro-life event at the UN, entitled “Abortion Bubble Zones & Their Impact on Civil Rights, Women's Health, & Preborn Lives”
• And specifically, we will provide a crucial French pro-life presence to better communicate with the many French speaking countries and delegations worldwide, some of whom are pro-life.

In a world where pro-abortion and anti-family narratives are increasingly dominating the global stage, your support is essential to ensure the right to life and the protection of the natural family remain at the heart of international policy. Sending a delegation of pro-life advocates and organizing events like this are invaluable, but it comes at a significant cost.

Our presence at the United Nations is vital to shifting the conversation and ensuring that pro-life, pro-family perspectives are heard, and this mission requires substantial funding.
