As you may know, we at Quebec Life Coalition are currently in the midst of our fundraising campaign, which began on September 10. So far, 84 generous donors have contributed 6,610$, and with only 8 short days left, we still need 13,390$ to reach our goal.

I know this email is going out to thousands, but only a fraction have given. If you haven’t yet, perhaps it's because you don’t see “the light at the end of the tunnel.” Maybe you're thinking, “We’ve been fighting the pro-life battle for decades, and nothing seems to work.”

I understand. I think it myself, sometimes. But then I remember a key moment in Scripture:

Just before His Ascension, the disciples ask Jesus,
“Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” (Acts 1:6)

In other words, “Are we finally going to win? Is now the moment we kick out the Romans and take our country back from our corrupt leaders?”

Jesus’ response is clear and direct:
“It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has fixed by His own authority.”

In other words: trust the Father. Don’t worry about the timeline. The victory is His — and His alone — to determine.

And then, knowing their next question would be “What do we do now?”, Jesus answers:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses…” (Acts 1:8)

This remains true today. Our task is to receive the Holy Spirit and to be His witnesses — in Quebec, in Canada, and to the ends of the earth.

The pro-life battle is one way — a crucial way — to witness to Christ. Not all are called to it, but for those of us who are, it is God's work: a true, good, and beautiful mission, proclaiming His truth about life, family, and faith.

I’ve been president of Quebec Life Coalition for nearly two decades. And what we’ve done best at QLC has always been when we’ve followed the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

Whether it’s our twice-yearly 40 Days for Life, our Life Chains, our pregnancy help work, our political action, court cases, social media outreach, our news site, March for Life, UN interventions, lectures, conferences, or campus outreach — everything we do is for the glory of God and the defense of His handiwork.

Have we made mistakes? Of course. But the mission is clear:

• To save preborn children from abortion

• To protect the vulnerable from euthanasia

• To support pregnant women in crisis

• To inform the public of God’s law and mercy

• To promote faith in public life

• And to help elect pro-life leaders

And we’ve stayed in the fight.

Jean-Léon, decades of pro-life activism.
Arpad Nagy, our outreach and politics director, is a “newcomer” — 6 years in — and he’s in it for the long haul.
And myself, 17 years and counting.

But you are part of this team too. None of our work would be possible without people like you, giving sacrificially. You allow us to honour God by making this mission possible. Quebec is a province that has set itself against God's law. But you — through your support — help us plant seeds of light and grace here.
