Here is a book that could be summarized in a few words: the deliberate oversimplification of the victimhood narrative. The author, Francis Dupuis-Déri, is presented as a professor of political science at the Université du Québec à Montréal, specialising in social movements. His book exclusively examines certain issues from this perspective. One could acknowledge a certain honesty in not straying beyond the scope of his expertise. However, precisely because the issue falls outside his area of expertise, the book completely misses the questions raised by gender ideology. In fact, these issues have been erased, as if they did not exist. Thus, on the back cover, the author presents the school as a battlefield: that of a “cultural” war. Which it absolutely is not.

Above all, it must be remembered that gender ideology, which is at the center of a genuine philosophical and scientific battle, is nothing more than unfounded sociological theories that are debated even among sociologists themselves. Yet these theories have been imposed on all students in Quebec schools, without exception. The first victims of this ideology , developed by charlatans like Dr. Money, were enlisted from early childhood and ended their lives by suicide. This fact never caused these ideologues to question the value of their theories, which were disproven from the very beginning!

Gender ideology is based on absurdities and can only be imposed by force and confusion. Force is used through laws, and confusion is created through definitions that cannot explain what a woman or gender is. This confusion is desired in order to prevent debates and logic from clarifying the supreme fraud of these ideologies. Like the child in The Emperor’s New Clothes, who reveals what everyone is thinking, we state what everyone knows but dares not say: gender ideology has no foundation.

It is important to emphasize that the bold insights of biologist François Chapleau, which are taken for granted by biologists, are actually a scientific consensus. However, this consensus is not often brought to the forefront because force and violence have silenced discussion of the subject. Indeed, anyone who refers to this consensus risks having their license revoked, as sexologist Jocelyne Robert experienced regarding the phenomenon of social contagion, or being sent to a reeducation camp, as psychologist Jordan Peterson was. This is how the scientific consensus in biology—that there are only two sexes and it is impossible to change one’s sex—is being silenced!

This book will not discuss biology. As is the case wherever dogma is imposed, gender ideology is considered correct here, and those who disagree are labeled transphobes. Period. Thus, the research book limits itself to seeking out testimonies and articles on these challenges, which are all acts of transphobia. The author groups these together with other reprehensible acts, such as masculinism and sexism, to highlight their obvious reprehensibility.

This shows just how little value the book has. Once again, the fundamental issue is glossed over entirely. The analyses are derailed by delusional generalizations. From the far right to the Hitler Youth, all opposition is lumped together under the categories of “diversity of hatreds” and “intersectionality of hatreds.” Following the author’s method, should we point out his deep sympathies for the far-left Antifa movement, which is considered a terrorist group in the United States? * School, A Battlefield* remains an interesting collection of anecdotes without any valid analysis of the phenomena they reveal.

Let us recall that if “the problems of sexism, homophobia, and transphobia affect schools in cities just as much as those in the suburbs or the countryside, in agricultural or tourist regions, in poor or rich communities, and in religious, secular, or atheist environments ” (p. 125), it is precisely because, in fact, in the majority of cases, these are not issues of sexism, homophobia, or transphobia. Rather, they are the healthy and spontaneous reaction of the entire population, endowed with both common sense and basic scientific knowledge, to a highly damaging ideological sham being imposed in schools.

Gender ideology is a short-lived trend. It’s just a passing fad—but a dangerous one that will leave children seriously harmed in its wake. As detransitioner Chloe Cole said: “I no longer have breasts, only scars.” This is the true legacy of gender ideology...
