Come to the March for Life in Quebec City (in front of the National Assembly) on Saturday, June 1, 2024 to defend life, from conception to natural death!
Why We Walk
Coming from diverse backgrounds, we walk for a variety of reasons...
· We walk to give thanks to God for the precious gift of life.
· We march to proclaim the truth that an innocent person should never be killed. · We are marching to bring change to Quebec and Canada, because despite the beautiful charters, human life is not respected here.
Abortion is the killing, before birth, of a little girl or boy made in the image and likeness of God.
Incredibly, this barbaric act is legal in Canada, from the moment the child is conceived until the day before it is born. Every year, more than 100,000 abortions take place in Canada, including more than 20,000 in Quebec. Euthanasia is the assisted suicide of a vulnerable person who could have been accompanied instead of being injected with a poison by a "medical" worker. Incredibly, this so-called medical act is permitted for more and more cases, and, tragically, nearly 50,000 vulnerable people have committed suicide by "medical assistance in dying" (euthanasia) since it was decriminalized in Canada in 2016; in Quebec, 6.6% of deaths recorded in 2022 were due to euthanasia. This Saturday, June 1, 2024, we invite you to join us in front of the National Assembly of Quebec, to announce to our fellow citizens that a world without abortion and euthanasia is possible. A world where pregnant women in difficulty are lovingly accompanied to welcome the precious gift of life. A world where vulnerable people haunted by anguish or crushed by pain are relieved and accompanied until the end. An Annual Walk — Proceedings This June 1, 2024 will be the first edition of the March for Life — Quebec. However, this march is meant to be an annual one, because our fight for a caring and fairer society will not end anytime soon.
Several speakers, including politicians, religious leaders and activists, will hold our governments to account and encourage rally participants to commit to a more just society. Then, Quebecers from all walks of life will begin marching through the streets of Quebec City. They will be guided by Quebec City police and volunteers, who will ensure that the course is safe and clear.
At the end of the march, people will gather again in front of the National Assembly to listen to the moving testimonies of men and women who have been injured by abortion. A world of benevolence and life, where love is stronger than death, is within our reach. Come and see!
