Thousands of Canadians marched for life through the streets of Ottawa on Thursday May 8th during the National March for Life, organised by Campaign Life Coalition with the theme "Protection at Conception".
A joyful and lively crowd on Parliament Hill greeted talented speakers such as Reverend Calvin Robinson, Angelina Ireland, President of the Delta Hospice Society, and writer Emily Stimpson Chapman.
Emily Stimpson Chapman.
It was with interest that the pro-lifers gathered welcomed the moving testimony of a woman from the Silent No More movement, who recounted having had 9 abortions before converting, or the warning from Alex Schadenberg from the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition about the fate awaiting the elderly, the sick and vulnerable if the current government continues with its deadly agenda, or the call from Rod Taylor of the Christian Heritage Party to fight the media “giant” that imposes its perverted view of the world, or the announcement of the election of Pope Leo XIV!
After the march, Quebec Life Coalition held a reception at St. Theresa's Church with a group of march participants in a convivial atmosphere.
At the end of the day, the annual Rose Dinner brought together many pro-life activists and personalities, with writer Emily Stimpson Chapman as guest speaker, who spoke about her fight against infertility and the temptation to resort to in vitro fertilisation, a practice in which unborn children are created in an inhumane way, before being, for many of them, frozen and thrown away. This, she points out, is an issue inseparable from abortion which pro-lifers must equally fight. Miscellaneous: during the dinner, a malicious individual set off the alarm bell to disrupt the event... before being chased by a cook! Fortunately, the incident did not cause any major disruption to the dinner.

We hope to see you at the next National March for Life and at the Quebec City March,
