At the moment this email is being sent, one week remains before our next March for Life in Quebec City. Hundreds are expected to convene in Quebec's capital to shine a light in a province that is currently and tragically in the dark about the right to life of the unborn child.
We've been working on this March for nearly 6 months, planning the events for the day outside the Quebec National Assembly, coordinating with police and parliament security, coordinating as well with sound people, stage people, other organisers responsible for volunteers, designating march marshals to guide the march, and taking care of the design and printing of signs. Beyond that, we have also been preparing our first annual Pro-Life Dinner planned for the evening of the march, at the nearby Delta Hotel.
So we are one week away, finalizing our yearly, flagship event, signing big cheques for meals, hotel dining room rentals, and equipment rentals, only to find out that Canada Post is once again in turmoil! This kind of thing, though it irritates Canadians, completely floors pro-life organisations like ours. However strange it might sound in 2025, we still get over 70% of our annual donations from the mail: many people are just more comfortable with that method.
It's not that we have not done much to transition to non-paper communication—we have, as this email proves. However, paper remains a big part of how we survive and thrive. I'll leave the discussion about how our organization will move beyond Canada Post, which is now becoming very unreliable, for this is not the point today.
What I want to ask you today, as a pro-lifer, is to encourage our team, our volunteers, and all March for Life participants with a generous donation online. We are starting a 3-week fundraiser today to offset the effects of the Canada Post service disruption and to give a much-needed boost to our rapidly draining coffers. Our goal is $15,000.

We have been working all year and now, at the peak of our work, we are faced with a shortfall that is sapping our morale at a crucial moment in time. That's why I turn to you, and hope you can come through for us.
We at QLC live for the mission, and we need donations to stay alive. Without donations, we don't have the means of saving babies and their mothers from abortion, we can't organize events like the March that remind Quebecers that every human being has the right to life, that we pro-lifers are in their midst, and that we won't be going anywhere soon!
Again, we have started today our 3-week campaign, with a target of $15,000, to weather this financial storm and to carry us through this intense March for Life period. Please give generously—we can do this, together!
God bless,
Georges Buscemi
