For those who stand for faith, family, and life—from conception to natural death—Trudeau’s time in office has been nothing short of a trial. Without a doubt, he was the most pro-abortion prime minister in Canadian history.

Under Trudeau’s leadership, pro-life organizations faced open hostility. He denied them access to federal funding for summer student programs and was moving to strip pro-life pregnancy centres of their charitable status, putting many at risk of closure. Beyond this, Trudeau relentlessly pushed destructive "progressive" policies both at home and abroad, including abortion, so-called same-sex marriage, unrestricted contraception, euthanasia, and an obsessive environmentalism.

Canada under Trudeau’s watch drifted deeper into a socialism marked by moral, spiritual, and demographic decline. With Parliament prorogued until March 24, many anticipate a federal election this spring—one that seems poised to hand victory to the Conservative Party under Pierre Poilievre.

To Mr. Poilievre, we extend an important call: recognize the deeper roots of Canada’s decline. Spiritual blindness leads to moral blindness, and this has produced the disastrous policies we face today. Canadians need a vision that transcends materialism, where freedom is not an end in itself but a means to authentic happiness rooted in the common good—including the right to life for unborn children.

At Quebec Life Coalition, we hope Trudeau’s resignation marks not just a political shift but a genuine moral and spiritual renewal. Canada must turn away from the immoral ideologies that have plagued it for decades—practical atheism, wokeism, abortion, euthanasia, and the LGBTQ2IA+ agenda—and rediscover its vocation to uphold the values that built Western civilization.

Finally, we see Trudeau’s resignation as part of a broader global trend. The liberal world order, established after World War II, is crumbling. Figures like Biden in the U.S., Scholz in Germany, and Macron in France are either gone or nearing their political ends. While this order had its merits, it was ultimately insufficient to guide a disoriented humanity. True freedom, both for individuals and nations, can only be achieved through sincere acceptance of the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
