I trust you and your loved ones are doing well.
For us at the Quebec Life Coalition, “life in the trenches” continues.
I have misgivings about using this expression, "life in the trenches."
On the one hand, can we compare our work to the hardships and sacrifices of the men and women who have put their lives on the frontlines of battle?
On the other hand, speaking up for the unborn has its own struggles:
A federal government that brands us as terrorists.
A public that regularly despise us both verbally and physically.
A judiciary that orders injunctions against us.
A legislature that enacts laws restricting our freedom of expression.
A society that acquiesces to the slaughter of our unborn brothers and sisters.
This latter point is mind-boggling: 100,000 abortions per year in Canada, 30,000 in Quebec, and 3,000 per year in Sherbrooke.
Yet, unlike the soldiers on the frontlines, my life is not in any danger. I rest comfortably at nighttime. I have warm clothes. Meals are readily available.
The terms “life in the trenches” and “frontlines” are but analogies.
Our struggles are different, as are our sufferings.
Yet, we are united in our common resolve to defend the weak.
You are invited to join our ranks
Here are three upcoming events we would warmly welcome to see you:
Pilgrimage for Life. On Saturday, September 11, 2021, a half day event, travelling to abortion facilities and holy places, to offer prayers and sacrifices to Our Lord that He may intercede on behalf of unborn children threatened by abortion.
Life Chain. On Sunday, October 3, 2021, a sixty-minute silent, prayerful vigil at a busy intersection, signs in hand, drawing the public’s attention that abortion is not a solution.
40 Days for Life prayer vigil for the end of abortion. From September 22, 2021, to Sunday, October 31, 2021, in Sherbrooke, QC.
Thank you for your prayers! Thank you for your support!
