Here’s the latest about how Quebec Life Coalition is fighting for faith, family and life, from conception to natural death, in Quebec and beyond:
Advocacy and Outreach
We continue to take steps to uphold faith in Quebec:
-
Petition to stop Public Prayer Ban in Quebec: I have formally requested a meeting with Minister Jean-François Roberge to discuss our petition opposing the proposed ban on public prayer. With over 12,000 signatures collected, this petition reflects a strong public demand to protect the ability of Christians to live and express their faith authentically in Quebec.
- Engaging the Media: An editorial I submitted to a popular Quebec Newspaper Le Devoir on authentic dialogue is awaiting publication. We remain hopeful that our message will resonate with a broader audience.
Preparations for the 2025 Quebec March for Life
Preparations are well underway for this year’s Quebec City March for Life, scheduled for Saturday, May 31, 2025.
- We are in the process of booking electricity, stage, and sound equipment, ensuring a memorable event for all participants.
- This annual march is a powerful opportunity to stand together for life and show our commitment to building a culture that respects and protects the most vulnerable among us.
Community Initiatives
- Youth Engagement: QLC political director Arpad Nagy, besides getting ready for the upcoming federal election, is organizing two youth events this month, including an apologetics evening and a screening of Roe Canada at our offices.
- Support Services: Outreach coordinator Brian Jenkins continues to assist individuals through our Enceinte et Inquiète helpline (1-855-871-4442 / enceinteinquiete.org), offering guidance to mothers and fathers in need.
- Quebec Prays: Augustin Hamilton is revitalizing our social media strategy and helping grow the “Quebec Prays” initiative (see here for more details), now with 15 active groups across the province.
Opportunities to Get Involved in Pro-Life Politics
Now is the time to step forward and make your voice heard. The People’s Party of Canada (PPC) is seeking candidates for the next federal election, and they fully welcome pro-life candidates. This stands in stark contrast to the Liberals, NDP, and even the Conservatives, who often reject pro-life voices, especially in Quebec.
If you’ve ever considered running for office as a pro-life candidate, I encourage you to explore the list of vacant ridings on their website:
Alternatively, consider running with the Christian Heritage Party (CHP), which is committed to running pro-life candidates in every riding where no other pro-life options are available. Their website provides details on how you can join this important effort:

Becoming a candidate is an impactful way to stand for life and faith in the public sphere. Let’s ensure that the pro-life perspective is represented at every level of government.
Looking Ahead
Mark your calendars for the 2025 Quebec March for Life (Saturday, May 31, 2025 in Quebec City) and stay tuned for details on our annual fundraiser dinner and other events.
Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and continued generosity.
May God bless you and your families abundantly,
For Life,
Georges Buscemi
President, Quebec Life Coalition
